My students need The Buford Series to complete literature circles for the new school year. The novels will change my students' lives for the better because it will speak to who they are as a person and to who they are as a community. With these novels I will be able to hold literature circles for these students which will show them a whole new world of reading. Through these literature circles my students will learn that their experiences in life is not unique just to them, but the events are shared across the human race. This project is so important to my students because it will give them a chance to connect with literature that is beyond their literature books. Their experiences with these novels will also allow them to see their situations in life span the human race. This realization will allow them to see a life beyond the walls of a school where poverty is the norm. Please help make this project a reality for my students.
