Graphing calculators allow students to do very complex calculations and show work. In AVID, it is a great tool during tutorials. While costly, they allow students to graph and to learn how to properly use these to help them in other classes, especially STEM classes. We use many activities where graphing is an integral part of developing knowledge of equations. These calculators will help my students with these skills and be more efficient in STEM classes. Building a class set will allow our students to use them as needed. This project is the first of several to start toward the 30 needed for a class set.
