These books we are requesting go along with a wonderful literacy unit we discovered called Rooted in Reading. It focuses on one read aloud each week so that students will deepen their understanding and focus on the structure of the story, and use the different reading strategies and skills that match the story. We will also use the books for writing, vocabulary, art and much more. It would be wonderful to own these books to be used year after year. The lessons that we will implement using these books are fun, creative and engaging. This would be an amazing addition to our current reading curriculum. It will allow the students to access the standards and foster a love of reading!
