Having calculators that are the same in my classroom, and used around the industrialized world, will help me teach students how to use them at a quicker pace. When each student has a different calculator, it slows down their education tremendously, as I have to help each student individually, as well as know how to use each individual calculator. Students learning about projectile motion, transformations of equations, and many other uses from common algebra to complex calculus, can then help each other as well, if they have the same type of calculator. I would like a classroom set of graphing calculators to help these students who simply cannot afford one.
