Scholastic MATH Magazine is a great resource that I plan to use with my group during station rotations so that they can see the importance of math in the real world. So many students struggle with math and don't see the relevance of it. By having them read the magazine, I can hook some of my more reluctant students so that they become more interested in math. Using this magazine during my math block will also enhance my students' reading skills. Informational text is a weak area for my students. By using this magazine in my math blocks, students will not only see relevance in the math that is being taught, but also increase their reading skills.
