Printers and paper cutters are essential to a widely varied, comprehensive, contemporary art curriculum. Students need access to these critical 21st century tools in order to see art as meaningful, solve creative problems, and make modern-day masterpieces! My students have not had a visual art program in two years, so my mission is to bring them the most up-to-date materials to help them grow into educated, empowered, and creative thinkers. Their new printer will be critical in starting and ending projects. We will use it to print templates and references in the beginning and to scan in artworks for sharing online with parents at the end! Their new paper cutter allows students to work on artworks of various sizes and see the benefits of working both big and small. Students will also feel pride in their work when it is professionally hung with crisp cut matting!
