By having the ability to receive appropriate sensory input my students will be able to focus better and maintain attention to tasks. My students take frequent sensory breaks in order to complete their academic activities. New sensory toys are extremely motivating and also serve as reinforcement for the children to complete their work. Soft, colorful squishy toys would be used throughout the day to motivate and reinforce children. My sensory toys need updating. Some of the sensory items have broken or been torn by the students. Having a variety of sensory toys decreases the chances of satiation which will keep the students motivated throughout the day.
