Using Mindset Math materials from YouCubed.org and a top-rated math curriculum from OpenUpResources.org, the students in this project will improve their attitude toward learning math and have a chance to learn math in a way that is different than all their previous math experiences. The course I am teaching uses a visual problem-based curriculum, in which all students experience success in math and growth in their mathematical reasoning skills. Because the materials for the course are available for free online, I have to download them and copy them for each student. Many of the activities are in color, which helps the students see patterns and other important details, but also requires a color printer. The binders are needed to create a workbook for each student.
