Help me reach my struggling readers by providing research proven strategies for teaching word decoding skills. The Rime Magic program is sold by Scholastic and has research proven teaching strategies and materials which will help me reach my struggling readers. Word decoding skills can impact reading fluency and reading motivation in early readers. First grade is a crucial year for developing fluency and success with word attack strategies. When an early reader has confidence in their word decoding skills, they are more motivated to read, which, is a win-win situation! This program will provide me with materials for my students, professional learning for me, and in turn will increase student proficiency and engagement. I am so excited about the possibility of including this program in my reading instruction in the near future.
