The children in my classroom love to play computer games, but the number of classroom computers is limited. For many of my students, access to technology and learning games at home is restricted. Our school is located in Louisiana and is comprised of kindergarten and first grades only. Building strong foundations in literacy is of upmost importance. So is having fun while learning! The Leapsters are a great way to bring in mini-computers for my students to use. The games selected are designed to meet the grade level expectations for kindergarten, provide enrichment and remediation as needed, and have received several awards. We LEAP for Learning! is designed to integrate interactive learning into my classroom. Using integrative technology in the classroom helps diversify teaching, giving ample opportunities for all learning styles to thrive academically and socially in a school setting. My students are a lot of fun and their learning opportunities need to be fun, too!
