We live in Florida, and frequently hear stories about those impacted by extreme weather, or have been impacted by severe weather themselves. We learn about weather systems as part of our curriculum and “To the Rescue Engineering Aid Drop kits” would give my students a meaningful hands-on way to solve problems, think critically and work collaboratively. We will be working together to solve the essential question, “how could we deliver aid packages to people who are unreachable because of extreme weather conditions?” Teamwork and hands-on projects are such an important part of the learning process and I hope to offer my students these experiences.
