My students have not had the opportunity to join an after school art club in years. With these materials my 4th and 5th grade students who sign up for the art club will have the chance to create art on a much larger scale than possible in our weekly art classes. My goal is to have every art club create a unique and lasting work of art to be displayed on campus, that not only provides a creative outlet but a sense of pride and joy. My plan is to have the canvas cut in half to create two halves of a large mural that the students will paint collaboratively. Once completed it will be displayed in the front office to welcome all who enter our school.
