Students will get 4 years of applied programming beginning with Scratch and JavaScript in the 9th grade, using ‘Pyret’ to perform Computational Modeling in 10th grade Physics, using 'RobotC' in our ‘Robotics Course; using Python to model systems in ‘Principles of Engineering’ and Arduinos to program various sensors in their ‘Capstone Engineering’ course. As both a Physics and Engineering teacher, I work closely to integrate our courses across subjects and am eager to be involving the math teachers this year in the Computational Physics program. In order to do successful, I am requesting eight Chromebooks to use across the courses this year. We are often limited in our implementation because of scarce computers. Having these dedicated computers will make this possible!
