This class set would help me introduce a Novel Study with subject matter my students can relate to. The main character is a young teenage boy from a low income neighborhood and a single parent home. He has no hope until he discovers he has a gift to run and people that believe in him and nurture that gift! I plan on using it for my 186 kids to not only connect with the message of hope in the story, but build their reading comprehension and use skills they are developing like using context clues and inferencing. I believe it will be powerful for the kids to relate to the character, and build their reading skills!

About my class
