My students benefit from and require sensory support and love bright colors. I’m looking forward to providing them with more opportunities for success with these supports. Each of the requested items from this project will help one or more of my students have his sensory needs met. I plan to use the pumpkin chair as a means of calming down when a student becomes upset or overstimulated. The structure of the chair will allow for the student to remove himself from the group and swing to deescalate. The chew items will help one student in particular who benefits from consistently utilizing this type of support. The weighted and tactile items will support all of my students in helping maintain focus during activities.
