My students are required to read for 20 minutes every night. Because the school is a rural area with a lot of low-income families, a lot of students don't have access to books for them to complete their assignment and foster a love of reading. This library is made up of English and Spanish books on a variety of topics that the kids will be excited to read. Reading independently not only helps students grow academically, it can foster particular interests and inspire them in different ways. Having this kind of classroom library would supplement their education and encourage students to get excited about their own learning.

About my class
