These books will enhance the reading community I strive to create each and every day. My students love browsing the shelves, finding a book that "speaks" to them and making recommendations to each other. There is an palpable excitement in my class every time I add books to the library and there is often a "waiting list" for the newest titles. All of these books have been chosen with my students in mind. Exposing them to different perspectives allows them to see the world around them in a new way, creating more engaged, empathetic and energized young people. We need diverse books so we can see how we're the same. Thank you so much for donating!!
