My first year teaching in my own classroom promises to be rewarding and challenging. Your generous donation will help make my year run smoother by providing some amazing materials to my students. "The essence of mathematics lies in its freedom."- Georg Cantor My goal as a math teacher this year is to make mathematics fun and interesting while challenging students to become independent thinkers. Through math read-alouds, games and hands on activities, I hope to create an environment where my young mathematicians can excel. I am requesting wobble chairs because my goal is to make a part of my room a flexible seating station. Flexible seating helps many students focus and to be more successful than in a traditional classroom environment. These wobble seats provide an appropriate way for students to move while staying on task and without disrupting the class.
