Wisconsin Native Plants Project will give students a thorough overview of how plants grow. The concise curriculum and quick growing plants will help keep students engaged. This project will fit in well after students explore the nature preserve at the Urban Ecology Center, allowing students to see the growing process of plants they previously identified in nature. This will also provide a solid understanding of plant growth for a more intense, larger-scale vegetable growing project. We may also be able to tie in water processes and heredity. Ultimately, I want students to understand where good food comes from and to be able to make healthy choices.
