This is my first year at my school. Within the first week, I saw the need for a creative outlet. The students love to draw, color, paint, etc. Unfortunately, there is no budget for a formal art teacher or art block during the school day. This leaves classroom teachers in charge of incorporating art into their lessons. The art club will allow students to find their creative voice, use art as an outlet, become exposed to different mediums and art history. Your donations will buy paper, paint, oil pastels, drawing materials, and much more! I have an extensive curriculum planned that will not only allow them to scratch their creative itch but will engage them academically. I anticipate this club's reach extending beyond our time together and in​ their day to day classroom activities.
