My project is geared to helping my students prepare for a successful academic year. I am requesting the weekly planners, notebooks, pocket folders, and storage bins the students will need to keep themselves and our classroom well organized (many of my students struggle with executive functioning tasks, so organization is a challenge). My goal is to use academic and inspirational posters to highlight the skills we will focus on over the course of the year -math, literature, good study habits, and social and emotional learning- to build a positive classroom environment. Finally, I am asking for the classroom basics that are oftentimes difficult to acquire - pens, pencils, highlighters, and markers.
