We are a K-12 charter school that is fortunate to have an amazing community of educators, students, families, administration and staff. We work together to collaborate, reinvent, innovate and adapt to our circumstances. We may not always have all the resources we need, but together we make it work! I mainly chose household furniture items because I would like my students to experience a welcoming, comfortable learning environment everyday. The various groups of furniture (kitchen table, set of chairs, bistro set, coffee table) will allow me to create real center stations within different areas of our classroom. The large rug will be the perfect "at home feeling" my students need to remain confident, engaged and vested in their own learning. I continually educate the impact of civic duties and community building. DonorsChoose gives me the opportunity to share a real-world connection, helping future generations see the responsibility and philanthropic model of paying it forward. Thanks for the opportunity to share our project!
