These books and materials will help my students take their literacy growth to a whole new level! A huge portion of students' time is spent at home, but many families don't have the resources to provide their children with adequately leveled books. My students love to read, and they have seen firsthand that books can magically create new worlds, ideas, and discoveries. I want to ensure that students are getting access to books and materials to help them continue to discover this magic at school and at home. During our literacy block of the day, you can find my twenty students laying on their bellies with their noses buried in a book. Sometimes, two friends will giggle, whisper, and huddle over an exciting story they have discovered. As a first year teacher, I want to ensure that I am providing equal access for each of my students to have the interesting, organized, and leveled books they need to continue growing and finding joy in literature.
