We need two Chromebooks. Students will be able to use Chromebooks for a variety of activities. There are programs that individualize their learning such is IXL for math and Reading A-Z for reading. Our school also uses Type to Learn for typing skills and we use Social Studies Weekly to enhance their social studies and reading curriculum. I often use Kahoot! for quizzes to assess learning in a fun and engaging way. In addition, my students can each use Google to create docs or slides for projects. These are all made possible using computers. Using these Chromebooks will allow me to engage the students and prepare them for success. This year we have a new state assessment where students will be required to type in their answers. Having technology in their hands will be important in developing their proficiency in typing.
