My art students are going to experience a lesson that has never been taught at their school before: stop-motion animation! In order to do this, they need tech. My students already have the motivation, creativity, and desire to learn, all they need are the tools to make it happen. In addition, my students will be learning about photography basics, digital photo editing, and will add photos and work to the class IG account and/or digital portfolio. Unfortunately, and understandably, my school does not have the resources to provide my art classroom with tablets for my students to use. I have my classroom setup in groups, with 6 groups of 4-5 students who work together all year. I am requesting to have a donation of 1 tablet per group and then 1 tablet for me to use for this, and other, lessons. I have chosen to go with an Android device vs an iPad because the iPads are simply too expensive and I know my students will still be able make great use of the tablets without them being super expensive. I have also requested cases with stands so that making their stop-motion animation projects will be easier for them.
