These books and movies will help to encourage students to be intrinsic learners, and to continue on the path of loving to read. My students really enjoy curling up with a good book and going on the journey that reading takes them on. With that being said, my students need an immense library of books in order to read independently. Every book is properly maintained with care and love. In addition, the books have been chosen on the needs and interests of my students and are so great that movies have been made from them. I have listened to them express great interest in wanting to read different genres. Therefore, my students really need more access to updated, relevant, and informational texts. The availability of the new books and movies will help to keep them read independently and enjoy reading while learning. My students will be overjoyed to have new books for independent and paired reading. The project will enhance their learning, reading and vocabulary. Wow, the adventures and the places you can go with the gift of reading!
