The iPads that I am requesting will allow students, in groups, to create video assessments instead of writing assessments. Our students are often not supported at home in reading and writing, so they are generally below grade level in writing. Writing is a difficult task for the students to work on and for me, as their teacher, to grade. Having iPads will allow the students to video their group to show what they know because speaking comes more naturally than writing. The students are highly motivated when it comes to technology; the video assessments will give students the opportunity to embrace technology and innovation.
