Students in my school come from a wide variety of countries and cultures that are very different from each other. This sometimes creates difficult situations when trying to get to know each other and understand one another. Many of my students have experienced trauma in their lives and have trouble coping with their feelings and new social experiences. Research has proven that students learn better in a comfortable and safe environment. The items I am requesting, like the Mindfulness Matters and Social Skills games, as well as the Feelmo Speaking Cards will allow me to help my students learn the skills needed to interact and communicate with each other and adapt to the ever-changing culture in our school! The Coping Skills game will teach my students the skills they need to deal with real life problems on a daily basis. Snoots Toots will give the students skills to empathize with their peers and develop the manners need to succeed socially. All items requested will allow my students to learn the skills they need to communicate their feelings and develop socially.
