We are implementing design thinking across our curriculum. We are transforming the acquisition of content. Our students need projects that have real impact and implications to their future endeavors. Lego Mindstorms will allow our students to engage in real design problems. That engagement will force them to apply concepts and content from every aspect of their education. Putting students into direct competition through the design process, will give them the experiences they need to be competitive in the real world. We must continue to expand learning beyond the page, beyond the textbook. Putting robotics into their hands and making them apply that process to real problems is where optimal learning will occur.
