Our students will benefit from having a tablet in the counseling office so that they can learn visually and interactively in a fun way. They can practice the skills taught and modeled in counseling sessions. They can learn coping skills, self regulation, breathing exercises, and ways to better express their feelings. There are countless iPad apps that reinforce what is taught in counseling in a way that will grasp the attention of youngsters and will hopefully strengthen their ability to handle stressful events that may occur in the classroom. Students with special needs in particular need hands on ways to learn.

About my class
