My students already have very limited access to keyboard (one shared piano in our usual music room); this has been made worse due to COVID restrictions on sharing classroom materials. This is very frustrating, as they need actual keyboards to get the hands-on experience of creating, performing, and understanding the construction of music. Online keyboards and paper keyboards do not provide the tactile learning visually impaired students need. We will shortly be moving to a distance learning format. Providing portable keyboards allows them to fully access music instruction at school and at home.
