Cooking and eating utensils, play food, cleaning tools, dolls, and baby care accessories will all be used in my classroom in a dramatic play area where students will role play cooking, serving, eating, cleaning, and care taking with a play kitchen, dining table, and highchair. Dramatic play in the pre-k classroom offers skills in several important developmental areas. When my students pretend in the house center, they will actively experiment with the social and emotional roles of life. They will also develop language and thinking skills, and nurture their imaginations. I am excited to see my students' growth in all of these skill areas as they use and enjoy a fully equipped house center.

About my class
