Students crave the chance for their ideas to be chosen and used in class; this will allow them to make their ideas come to "life," as they say. I also want to give the students more access to research. Being able to use the printer to make copies and print from the computers directly in the classroom will allow students to get the information needed. By using the easel paper and bright colored pens and markers, I can have students create larger than life representations of their ideas - is my favorite way of engaging my students in a creative manner. Using the document camera I can show students in real time how to annotate a poem or piece of Literature. We can have discussions while we work together to annotate. Getting students excited about talking about literature is hard, but giving them a way to see what they are reading directly can overcome that hardship.
