These Amazon Fire tablets would make a huge impact on my students' learning experience during reading centers time. My lowest readers, who need support with basic sight words, can use the tablets to read online books with audio/read-aloud support. My higher level readers can use the tablets for enrichment projects such as conducting research on historical biographies and science topics. By donating to our project, you will give my students fun, exciting tools for "learning to read" and "reading to learn" in a way that will help them discover that reading opens up a whole new world. With these tablets, my students will be able to spread out across the room to work independently or in small teams. We also will use them for team learning games and classroom competitions on Quizziz and Kahoot, to review content for tests and encourage all students to participate. The screen protectors and cases will ensure that the tablets are well protected and more durable, as they will get a lot of use throughout the school year.
