In the classroom it is imperative that the teacher gets opportunities to check for understanding with their students. This will help the teacher determine the students' ability to solve certain problems. Our classroom will be interested in receiving Dry Erase White Boards (9 x 12), so that the teacher can assess all students' work in a short period of time, as it relates to particular key points in the lesson. One, two, three SHARE YOUR ANSWER, the teacher will quickly scan the room analyzing the students' answer to predetermined question. The teacher will quickly gather data, review concept if necessary, or congratulate the students for mastery. This will help the teacher and students maximize instructional time while being engaged. Students will need large poster papers to conduct gallery walks in the classroom. This will allow students to get up from their seats to participate in a productive activity, while giving students the opportunity to showcase their work and/or understanding on certain topics. Students need privacy when they are taking assessments. Our classroom is in need of Testing Dividers. We now have a classroom with tables seating 5+ students. This will ensure that students are not distracted during assessments and allows them to focus/ground themselves in the task at hand.
