My students, my school, and myself have been affected by Hurricane Harvey. Between the flooding seen on the news and the continued flooding months later due to rain our building has officially been declared unsafe. We will be in a different building this year and it would be amazing to give my students a beautiful place that is put together, and organized. These children deserve to get to come to school and not worry about flooding, or natural disasters. They deserve to come and learn and play and build relationships. I believe a good place to start is an organized comfortable library, that will allow my students a space to relax and enjoy books and develop a love for reading. I am asking for a bookshelf to help organize books. We also need students to have a designated place to receive differentiated small group instruction. So I am also asking for a group table. This will give them an opportunity to sit at the table and learn.
