My students will be able to make their own book choices for independent reading. I have been trying to build my library to give the students more of a variety but I have reached my spending limit for now. I plan to have my students writing every day and plan to let them sit wherever they feel comfortable. Clipboards or lapboards will make this easier for them to accomplish this task. Reading and writing will be part of my students daily routine. My ultimate goal is to help them become proficient in both areas. I hope that by having a variety of genes, authors and subjects I will be able to keep them engaged.
