My students are full of energy and love to move around throughout lessons. By having more options for seating will allow the students to take charge of their learning by choosing a location in the room that is most suitable for their needs. This includes sitting on the carpet/floor if that's what will benefit them to stay on task and successfully complete the work given. In addition, my students use iPad's to further their content knowledge in a a subject area. When they are on a particular site, they may need to listen to what is happening. Having 20+ students in the classroom can make it difficult for every student to hear exactly what they need to. Therefore, having headphones for every student will be very beneficial. Students spend a lot of time in the classroom, therefore, my hope is that by creating this environment for the students, they will be able to soar above and beyond in their academics. I want my students to feel as if they can make their own decisions as to what will benefit them the most, whether it is remaining in their chairs, sitting on the carpet, or bouncing around in chairs. My goal is that through these resources, I can find a way for every student to be successful.
