My young students need to move their bodies in order to learn! Five year olds are not meant to sit still at a desk and chair all day long! These materials will give my students the opportunity to try different seating options to find one that allows their body to be calm and ready to learn. This also encourages my students to begin to take control of their own learning. They will begin to think about how they can help their body learn best, and choose accordingly. There is great power in the set up and environment of an early education classroom. Flexible seating is a wonderful tool to help all of our students access learning, in a developmental appropriate manner.
