In order to continue my students' love for reading, I would love to provide them with bean bag chairs and an area rug where they can relax and read during their morning quiet reading time. They enjoy sitting around the room, but right now, it is without carpet and any comfortable seating. Reading in a comfortable environment is certainly a great motivator for early readers! It will also certainly help my students with special needs, who would enjoy the sensory experience of a bean bag chair, rather than a hard floor or desk and chair. This reading experience will cause them to want to continue reading every morning.
