I am requesting a library of social emotional books such as "The Invisible Boy" and "Wilma Jean the Worry Machine" for our teachers to share. Book topics include respect, kindness, making mistakes, how to be a friend, accepting feedback, and much more. We will place all of these books in one location for teachers to have access for teaching throughout the year. Books are a wonderful way to teach and reinforce social and emotional learning. Our teachers need access to more specific titles and topics, and having one central location will benefit the whole building. Social emotional learning is very important for children and this is one avenue to help teach the skills.
