"Coming together is a beginning, staying together is progress, and working together is success." – Henry Ford. Collaboration is an important component in my classroom. I strive to create a learning environment where all voices are heard and respected allowing students an opportunity to learn from one another. Throughout the school day, students are working with a partner or in a cooperative learning group. I chose flex-space comfy floor seats for my classroom so when my students are working together, they have an option for seating other than desks or tables. When students work in collaborative groups, I allow them to choose whether they'd like to sit. These floor seats will provide a more comfortable option rather than sitting on the floor or carpet area.
