Writing is an integral part of the daily activities in my classroom. We write in all areas of our curriculum, and it is important for students to be able to see great examples of writing. The document camera, microphone, and director's chair will allow students to see great examples of writing and will also allow students the excitement of sharing their writing with their classmates. An endless amount of writing can be showcased this way. Students can write to respond to something they've read, they may show the other students the way they've labeled a picture, tell about their weekend, write to explain how to solve a math problem, or may inform the class about a favorite animal or famous person they've researched. Can you imagine how excited the students will be to sit in the special chair, show their writing under the document camera, and read it aloud by using the microphone? By donating to this project, you will help motivate students to love writing and to gain confidence through sharing great examples of writing with each other.
