Every year, I love to decorate my classroom in a theme! This year, I chose The Wizard of Oz. I built the house that fell on the witch, I made a signpost of the different places in Oz, I sponge painted my stage to look like the yellow brick road, created an OZ cover for our podium and color coordinated the room. Now I am looking forward to incorporating the novel into the classroom and sharing the joys of the movie with them too. I have paper copies of each chapter, but it's so much more exciting and engaging for each student to have their own actual book to read!
