These items will make a huge difference for students because they will have ownership over their school supplies. Having school supplies already prepared for our students when they walked in the door is so important because it allows the students to be ready to engage in our lessons rather than being distracted by not being properly prepared for class. As a special education program, we want to make sure that students have access to learning through multiple venues such as visual, auditory, tactile, and movement learning. Therefore it is critical to have supplies like pens, markers, dry erase boards, notebooks, and binders to support their learning through these avenues.
