Our students need music stands, so that they may come to class and use their mind and hands to further enhance their music reading and performing skills, rather than worrying about balancing a horn and sheet music at the same time. Playing an instrument while holding sheet music takes away from the development of a musician's posture and appropriate hand positioning. This time in their development is critical as there are foundations that need to be established to ensure a lifetime of good musical practices. Music is a very important part of our community and can help to ensure students are successful in school and beyond, by teaching them discipline, strength of character, and creativity.

About my class
