One day my students will change the world. I see in them future leaders and problem solvers who will use scientific literacy and evidence based policy to shape our communities. They challenge themselves to attain rigorous academic and personal growth and they fearlessly seek opportunities to utilize and expand their knowledge beyond the classroom. With our love and support, they will find ways to incorporate their authentic voices and cultures into academic pursuits, so that they can become beacons of strength and joy in a turbulent world. In our classroom we act with empathy and speak with compassion as we fight tirelessly to end systemic injustice and promote critical thinking skills.
