In order for my students to be able to work on their level and at their own pace they need to be comfortable. Personalized learning encourages movement and flexible seating and strongly encourages students to move around. Students are very creative and love to find different areas and spaces to work throughout the classroom. Lap desks and clipboards will enable them to sit anywhere (on carpet, under desks, in the hallway, etc.) and still have an effective work space. This project will allow for flexible work spaces for up to 60 students at a time which includes 3rd and 4th grade students. My hope is that students who desire to move and find a flexible spot will be able to do so. I look forward to a flexible classroom environment with students scattered all over working happily and successfully.
