My students need a safe, inviting space when they are overwhelmed. A cozy chair, a soft rug, along with a library filled with therapeutic books and games, can make a huge difference in the life of a child. Being able to provide my students with a library filled with therapeutic books on topics from grief to social skills will equip my students with the tools needed to build self-confidence and resiliency. Equipping students with healthy coping skills is a must for any child. Using these much needed materials, I can guide my students down the path of effective coping through reading, art, music and mindfullness.
