These materials will enhance our classroom library, and help to create a welcoming reading environment. The beanbag chair and pillows will provide my students with comfort while they are independently reading. In addition, I have also included a tee-pee to add excitement to our reading nook. These materials will help foster an enjoyment of reading that will last their whole lives. With the added pressure of common core and standardized testing, I've noticed that the students are losing their love of reading. My hope is to bring that love back to my fourth grade classroom. All of these items together will create a classroom library that encourages a space for reading that students will never want to leave!
